Your Opportunity
We are seeking Project and Report Coordinator(s) with a focus on contaminated sites to join our growing Prairies and Territories (P&T) Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) team. This office-based position will focus on assisting Project Managers with efficient project execution and ensuring high quality client deliverables are completed consistently and on time. Under the leadership of outstanding project managers, this opportunity allows you to be a part of a cohesive and highly skilled team of environmental professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Site Investigation and Remediation projects across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories.
Successful candidates can be based in any of the following Stantec offices: Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or the Northwest Territories.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Promote a strong health and safety culture and actively participate in Stantec’s Health and Safety Program
- Create and lead a positive safety culture on all projects
- Work with Project Managers to develop field instructions and coordinate field scopes of work with Stantec staff and subcontractors
- Coordination of field data collection from a variety of SIR field tasks including but not limited to, Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III ESAs, ongoing environmental monitoring, and other general remediation and reclamation activities
- Maintain tracking tools for multiple project site activities and deliverables
- Writing and peer review of technical reports including (but not limited to) Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III ESAs, Remedial Action Plans (RAP), Corrective Action Plans, Reclamation Plans, Record of Site Conditions (RoSC), Ongoing Environmental Monitoring and Risk Management plans (RMP)
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Dedicated to working safely within established procedures and protocols
- Demonstrated experience executing soil, soil vapour, and groundwater investigations
- Phase II ESA report writing experience preferred
- Proficiency with standard productivity software including all MSOffice products
- Experience with databases in the SIR context and knowledge of other Environmental software including OpenGround, EQUIS, FieldMaps and other ArcGIS applications is considered to be an asset
- Practical knowledge of contaminated sites frameworks and guidelines in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and/or Northwest Territories
- Experience with AER OneStop tool is considered an asset but not required
- Familiarity with the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan process is considered an asset
- Able to obtain federal reliability security clearance
- Adaptability, organization, critical thinking, self-motivation, a keen willingness to learn, attention to detail, succinct writing ability, and ability to multitask
- Strong communication skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years in Site Investigation and Remediation work, preferably with at least 3 years in a field role.
- Prior experience in an engineering or consulting environment is an asset.
This position will involve working in a typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
