Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Structural Engineer to join our client’s aerospace engineering team. In this role, you will lead the development, authorization, and delivery of structural repair solutions, product modifications, and certification packages in accordance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements. You will also provide technical leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional support while contributing to high‑impact aerospace projects.

  • Pay Rate: $120,000/year

  • Location: Abbotsford, BC

  • Job type: Permanent Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently demonstrate behaviours that align with client's culture, and core values.

  • Create and/or authorize structural repair solutions, modifications, and product enhancements in accordance with internal engineering standards.

  • Develop design concepts that account for customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and all project-specific constraints.

  • Apply sound engineering judgment while also exploring creative approaches to address technical challenges and develop effective design outcomes.

  • Adhere to the systems engineering framework outlined in Cascade’s Systems Engineering Manual throughout all project phases.

  • Provide design-related insights and recommendations to leadership when needed.

  • Produce comprehensive engineering data packages to support airworthiness certification and other departmental needs.

  • Draft and/or approve engineering reports and documentation following the Engineering Authorization Matrix.

  • Work collaboratively with certification authorities to define compliance requirements and supply the necessary supporting data.

  • Review, evaluate, and approve engineering work completed by peers or other contributors.

  • Coordinate and oversee the technical activities of internal engineering staff and external engineering service providers involved in generating engineering deliverables.

  • Ensure all certification elements are accurately reflected within configuration management systems and final certification data packages.

  • Offer mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers.

  • Support the professional growth of engineering team members by helping them apply engineering principles to develop strong design solutions.

  • Apply fundamental project management practices to successfully execute engineering tasks.

  • Provide technical leadership related to defining project scope, cost estimates, schedule planning, and quality standards.

  • Track project progress relative to planned estimates and identify or implement corrective actions when performance deviates from targets.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to management.

  • Deliver engineering support to both internal departments and external clients as required.

  • Participate in departmental administrative functions and contribute to internal process activities.

  • Perform additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related discipline).

  • Extensive experience in structural design and analysis within aerospace environments.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and certification processes.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining technical excellence.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and solve technical problems.

  • Clear, concise communication—written and verbal.

  • Passion for mentorship and the professional development of other engineers.

  • Proven success working collaboratively across diverse engineering teams.

  • In‑depth knowledge of aerospace structural analysis, including static loads, fatigue, and damage tolerance.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), including model validation and interpretation of results.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
