Adecco is currently hiring a full-time dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to support the growth and development of children within a culturally grounded, community‑focused learning environment. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about fostering holistic child development, building strong relationships with families, and integrating Indigenous values, teachings, and traditions into daily programming.

The ECE will play a key role in supporting children’s transition into the provincial school system, maintaining a safe and compliant facility, and delivering high‑quality educational experiences tailored to each child's unique needs.

  • Pay Rate: $59k TO $69k /annually

  • Location: Gold River, BC

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Support each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while fostering a positive self-image celebrating each child’s cultural heritage within daily learning activities.

  • Provide instruction and guidance consistent with the values, traditions, and teachings of the local Indigenous community.

  • Recognize families as a child’s first and most important teachers, seeking their input in addressing developmental and learning needs.

  • Help create a smooth transition for children moving from preschool into the provincial public school system.

  • Ensure the operation of the facility adheres to the Community Care and Assisted Living Act under the BC Ministry of Children and Families.

  • Communicate children’s learning progress and development to parents on a regular basis share information, discuss concerns, and support follow-up plans.

  • Design monthly curriculum themes that reflect the unique needs of each child and the group as a whole, distribute quarterly newsletter for parents.

  • Conduct annual assessments for each child to identify strengths and areas for continued learning.

  • Oversee program materials, ensuring adequate supplies and appropriate equipment are available

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification (three year program completed).

  • A reliable personal vehicle is required for this position.

  • Valid Standard First Aid or Child Safe certificate,

  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience (Specials needs considered an asset).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused, learning centered environment.

  • Commitment to extracurricular involvement.

  • Ability to use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse individual needs.

  • Dedication to continuous professional learning and growth.

  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and kindness in all interactions

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
