Position Summary
You will lead government affairs and market access efforts in Canada. You will build trusted relationships with federal and provincial decision makers. You will develop and deliver policy and access strategies that enable patients to get the care they need. You will work closely with commercial, medical, regulatory and global teams. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
Develop and deliver government affairs and market access strategies that support business priorities and patient access.
Provide strategic leadership on pricing, reimbursement, and access pathways for innovative therapies across public and private drug plans.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with federal and provincial governments, payers, health technology assessment bodies, and relevant stakeholders.
Provide strategic oversight and leadership for Patient Support Programs to ensure they are patient‑centered, compliant, and aligned with public payer and health system expectations.
Strengthen partnerships with patient organizations, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders to support sustainable, equitable access solutions.
Provide clear advice and briefing materials to senior leaders to support decisions and external engagements.
Work with cross-functional teams to align evidence generation, pricing, reimbursement, and access tactics.
Monitor policy and reimbursement trends, perform horizon scanning, and translate findings into actionable risk and opportunity assessments.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of five (5) direct reports, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative, and accountable culture.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
Bachelor’s degree in public policy, health policy, health economics, law, business, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or market access in healthcare or a highly regulated industry.
Experience engaging with federal and provincial governments, payers, or health technology assessment bodies.
Proven ability to develop and implement advocacy or market access strategies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is an asset.
Experience working in a matrixed organization and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Deep understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, including public drug plans, HTA processes, and patient support models.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, or equivalent) in a relevant field.
Prior experience in HIV, specialty care, or complex therapies
Experience collaborating with regional or global teams in a multinational company
