Ville : Calgary

Catégorie : Business Support

Industrie : Retail

Employeur : Loblaw Companies Limited

Come make your difference in communities across Canada, where authenticity, trust and making connections is valued – as we shape the future of Canadian retail, together. Our unique position as one of the country's largest employers, coupled with our commitment to positively impact the lives of all Canadians, provides our colleagues a range of opportunities and experiences to help Canadians Live Life Well®.

At Loblaw Companies Limited, we succeed through collaboration and commitment and set a high bar for ourselves and those around us. Whether you are just starting your career, re-entering the workforce, or looking for a new job, this is where you belong.

At No Frills, delivering an exceptional customer experience starts long before a customer walks through our doors. Behind every great store visit is strong operational execution, thoughtful merchandising, and a team aligned around delivering value.

We’re looking for a Customer Experience Specialist in Training (CESiT) to partner with No Frills Owner-Operators and their teams to ensure stores are operationally prepared to deliver a consistent, high-quality shopping experience. This role works behind the scenes to support store readiness through merchandising, inventory planning, seasonal execution, and operational programs.

This is a retail operations role focused on enabling store teams to successfully execute key initiatives that enhance the in-store customer experience.

As part of this opportunity, CESiT participants gain hands-on exposure to the operational and strategic pillars that drive the No Frills business. Through close partnership with multiple Owner-Operators and store teams regionally, you’ll build the skills needed to support store performance, optimize operations, and implement programs that strengthen the customer experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on advanced retail systems and operational processes (e.g., SAP, IPFR, BOSS, Planogram, Perpetual Inventory, Sweda Mart), applying expertise to analyze and optimize product flow, ordering, and inventory management for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
  • Actively contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of improved operational and merchandising processes and standards.
  • Collaborate with stores to drive consistent execution of company policies, strategic initiatives, and high visual merchandising standards, identifying variances and providing expert coaching.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between Merchandising and Operations, actively contributing to business unit discussions and translating insights to facilitate program execution and resolve critical store-level issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive store performance analyses through regular visits, delivering constructive feedback, identifying priority assistance needs (e.g., merchandising, shrink), and co-creating/tracking data-driven action plans with store leadership.
  • Analyze customer feedback and product requests to inform and enhance merchandising and operational strategies, ensuring an elevated customer experience and optimized product offering.
  • Strategically guide departments to meet and exceed budgetary goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), while providing expert operational support to resolve complex external and internal challenges.
  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on support for new store openings and major refurbishments, leading the design and delivery of impactful merchandising workshops, and ensuring stringent compliance with all directives and brand standards.
  • Champion and actively contribute to cultivating diverse, inclusive, and belonging-focused teams through effective coaching and collaborative leadership.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2+ years of retail leadership or management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive travel required across Western Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba)
  • A strong customer-centric mindset, with a proven ability to enhance customer experience through operational efficiency and strategic solutions.
  • Experienced in coaching, leading and motivating teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Strong diagnostic analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills for influencing and training diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in retail operational systems and/or willingness to rapidly master new technologies; prior Perpetual Inventory Management experience (SAP, IPFR, BOSS, planograms, perpetual inventory, Sweda Mart) is a significant asset.
  • A collaborative spirit with the self-discipline and motivation to work independently.
  • Reflective of Loblaw Culture, Leadership Behaviours and Shared Values.
