Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Constable to provide professional policing and security services within a 24/7 operational environment. Acting as the primary point of contact for safety and enforcement matters, this role is responsible for responding to emergency situations, protecting company assets, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

This position requires strong judgment, independence, and the ability to build effective partnerships with internal teams and external law enforcement agencies.

Responsibilities:

·       Serve as the primary contact for policing and security-related matters

·       Respond to emergency calls and incidents across a large geographic area

·       Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal, provincial, and federal agencies, as well as local businesses and stakeholders

·       Identify high-risk locations and implement proactive security and loss prevention measures

·       Conduct investigations and support the prosecution of criminal incidents

·       Enforce and promote compliance with federal and provincial railway safety laws

·       Lead public safety initiatives, including presentations and community engagement activities

·       Manage and enforce traffic control and trespassing regulations

·       Deliver Operation Lifesaver and safety awareness programs

Qualifications and Skills:

·       Completion of an accredited law enforcement program or equivalent

·       Certification (or eligibility) in First Aid and CPR

·       Valid Driver’s License

·       Must reside within 50 km of the work location

·       Strong ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external law enforcement agencies

·       Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and initiative

·       Ability to make timely and informed decisions in high-pressure situations

·       Fluently bilingual in English and French (written and verbal)

·       On-the-job training with a Coach Officer

·       Candidates without a police college certificate will be required to complete a 3-month training program at the Ontario Police College

·       Successful completion of all training programs is required for ongoing performance in the role

·       Strong commitment to safety, integrity, and accountability

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

·       Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

·       Community-focused with a proactive approach to public safety and enforcement

·       Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
