Posting Description

Job Summary:

The Clinical Research Project Coordinator (CRPC) will work closely with the study team in the Jibb Lab at The Hospital for Sick Children with the coordination of various paediatric oncology studies (e.g. participant recruitment, data collection, data entry). The Clinical Research Project Coordinator will also work closely with the research team and reports to the Principal Investigator and their designate (i.e., Project Manager). 

Project Summary:

Through applying a family-centered care lens to our work, the Jibb lab actively pursues better ways to understand and optimize the psychosocial health of those affected by childhood cancer, including patients, survivors and their family members.

Here's what you get to do:

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and their designate (i.e., Project Manager), the CRPC will assist with the coordination of a large multisite psychosocial oncology clinical trial, including the evaluation of a psychotherapeutic intervention for parents of children with cancer. The CRPC will also assist with several studies in the lab as needed.

Specific job duties include:

·         Participate in study recruitment, consenting, participant follow-up, and data collection.

·         Responsible for study coordination across all sites.

·         Oversee and participate in data management (e.g., data cleaning and data entry) and quantitative/qualitative data analysis.

·         Assist with manuscript preparation.

·         Participate in other administrative activities to ensure the smooth running of both projects.

·         Assist with other projects as necessary.

Here's what you need:

·    Graduate degree in a Health Science discipline.

·    Minimum of two years of clinical research experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

·    Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, including conducting interviews and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.

·    Previous experience with online databases (e.g. REDCap).

·    Experience with participant recruitment in a paediatric setting is an asset.

·    Superior communication, organization and time management skills.

·    Ability to develop strong working relationships.

·    Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Employment Type: 1 year, 1.0 FTE Temporary Contract
