A career as a Chief Advisor, Financial Planning & Advisory Services at National Bank Financial (NBF) means playing a key role with high‑net‑worth clients and Investment Advisors within NBF.

Beyond sharing information, you contribute directly to the development of comprehensive, customized and high‑value financial plans designed for complex client situations.

The mission of the team is to deliver leading‑edge expertise and high‑quality services in advanced financial planning, taxation and estate planning.

Your role

• Become a trusted financial planning reference within the client advisory team of one of Canada’s leading asset management firms

• Conduct client interviews, build long‑term trusted relationships and develop financial plans tailored to complex needs

• Work closely with multiple internal and external partners in a collaborative, team‑based environment

• Manage multiple complex files with tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

• Design and deliver financial planning training sessions for Investment Advisors

• Identify and develop business opportunities related to the full range of National Bank Financial products and services

• Understand business challenges and actively contribute to practical, actionable solutions

Your team

Based in Moncton or Halifax, you work closely with a multidisciplinary team of financial planners, estate planners and tax specialists.

Together, you support Investment Advisors and clients across the Atlantic region through the seven areas of financial planning expertise.

Tools such as the Data Academy, language training, the Harvard Learning Center, as well as coaching and mentoring support, are available to you at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (accounting, actuarial science, finance, economics or a related discipline) and five years or more of relevant experience

• FP Canada member (CFP designation)

• Strong mastery of financial planning concepts, including personal and corporate taxation and retirement planning

• Significant experience in an expert advisory role

• Availability to travel to NBF offices across Atlantic Canada

Assets

• Advanced training or significant experience in taxation, including the CICA In‑Depth Tax Course

• Knowledge of insurance strategies

• Strong understanding of the wealth management industry

• Holding the designation from the Institut québécois de planification financière (IQPF)
