Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding & Logistics on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing logistics organization specializing in international air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, cross-border transportation, warehousing, and distribution solutions.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced freight forwarding sales professional who thrives on building new business, developing strategic client partnerships, and delivering customized supply chain solutions. If you have a proven track record in logistics sales and are passionate about driving revenue growth, we want to hear from you.

  • Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000/year (based on experience)

  • Location: Mississauga, ON

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth.

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within target markets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing customized freight forwarding and logistics solutions.

  • Promote a full suite of services, including:

    • o    International Air Freight

    • Ocean Freight

    • Customs Brokerage

    • Cross-Border Transportation

    • Warehousing & Distribution

    • Supply Chain Solutions

  • Meet or exceed annual sales, revenue, gross profit, and KPI targets.

  • Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and client engagement.

  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and sales negotiations.

  • Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure exceptional customer service and seamless execution.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.

  • Serve as a brand ambassador by representing the company as a trusted, customer-focused logistics partner.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding sales, logistics sales, or business development within the transportation industry.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • International Air Freight

    • Ocean Freight

    • Import & Export Logistics

    • Customs Brokerage

    • Supply Chain Solutions

  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and gross profit targets.

  • Proven ability to develop new business and grow strategic accounts.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong understanding of the Canadian logistics and freight forwarding market.

  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and entrepreneurial approach.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
