Adecco is currently hiring a Cost Analyst for a full-time permanent opportunity in Wingham, ON. This role is ideal for an analytical finance professional with experience in manufacturing who enjoys financial modelling, cost analysis, budgeting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic business decisions.

In this position, you will analyze financial performance, prepare operational reports, support forecasting and budgeting activities, and provide valuable recommendations that help improve profitability and operational efficiency.

  • Pay Rate: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience

  • Location: Wingham, ON

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly operational reports, commentary, and financial analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop value-added recommendations based on financial performance, cost analysis, and operational trends.

  • Prepare flex budgets, inventory reconciliations, inventory reserve calculations, revaluations, and variance analyses.

  • Support the development of operating, capital, and cash flow budgets, including quarterly forecast updates.

  • Analyze and recommend updates to standard costing information, including material, labour, and overhead rates.

  • Review and verify that overhead costs are accurately absorbed into standard product costs.

  • Maintain and update financial models and costing rates used within quoting systems and software.

  • Perform cost walk analyses by comparing actual versus expected project margins on completed and newly released products.

  • Communicate key financial information, including KPIs, inventory values, and operational metrics to manufacturing and operations teams.

  • Assist in maintaining finance scorecards and operational reporting.

  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to evaluate cost impacts for new and revised product offerings.

  • Provide day-to-day financial support to the Estimating department as required.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, share financial insights, and support business objectives.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational and financial performance.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial standards.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • University degree or College Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Professional Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is considered an asset.

  • 3–5 years of experience in costing, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting principles.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and financial software or databases.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience reading blueprints and parts lists is considered an asset.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
