Our Terra Nova Offshore team is looking for an experienced professional to lead our production team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Technologist diploma or Trade certification
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 or more years experience in day to day operations in the oil/petrochemical industry
  • Offshore experience preferred
  • Understanding of wells, subsea systems, flowlines, separation, compression, safety systems and utility systems
  • Working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems and computerized control/safety systems
  • Thorough understanding of Control of Work Processes and Systems
  • Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP S4, Field Operations and Enablon)
  • Experience with operator field tools for monitoring operator PM’s and equipment logs

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all production operations, including supervision of process operators and planning, coordination, and communication of all shift activities onboard the Terra Nova FPSO
  • Responsible for safe and efficient operations, control of work and documentation in the field according to established procedures and regulations
  • Troubleshooting of problems in the plant to ensure production reduction or downtime is minimized
  • Performs/Supports hands on duties of a PCS or Production Operator dictated by operational requirements
  • Identify process and facility improvement opportunities to enhance safety, production reliability or reduce production cost
  • Strong collaboration with Maintenance and the Vessel groups
  • Complete competency assessments of production operators in each operating area
  • Core member of offshore emergency command team including on scene command 

Location and other Key Details:

  • This job is located offshore and will travel via helicopter to the Terra Nova FPSO with periodic travel via Supply Boat
  • You will work a 3 week on / 3 week off schedule, 12-hour shifts
  • This position is safety sensitive
  • Qualified residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position
