Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Quality Control Inspector to support inspection and verification activities for electronic assemblies, including printed circuit boards (PCBs) and cable/harness assemblies. This role is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

This role requires strong inspection expertise, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of electronic assembly standards such as IPC-A-610.

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00/hour (based on experience)

  • Location: Markham, ON

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process (WIP) and final inspections prior to product shipment

  • Inspect complex PCB assemblies using visual, mechanical, and microscope-based methods

  • Inspect cable and harness assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications

  • Verify solder quality, polarity, component values, and placement in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards

  • Utilize inspection tools including microscopes, gauges, and X-ray equipment

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer documentation

  • Identify and document non-conforming materials and defects

  • Support development of inspection criteria in collaboration with supervision

  • Perform out-of-box audits and quality checks on completed products

  • Assist with limited assembly tasks when required

  • Maintain accurate records and track inspection activities using shop floor control systems

  • Support continuous improvement and assist QC team members as needed

  • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures and safety protocols

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in electronics or a related field

  • Certification in IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001

  • Strong knowledge of inspection standards and soldering defect identification

  • Experience with PCB production processes

  • Ability to operate inspection tools including microscopes and X-ray machines

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

  • Proficiency with computers and tracking systems

  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments

  • Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards

  • Experience with metal and plastics specifications per customer requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Ability to maintain accuracy while working with urgency

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or high-reliability environments

  • Previous experience performing out-of-box audits and advanced inspection techniques

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or quality management systems

  • Fast-paced setting with strict quality and delivery deadlines

  • Requires high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
