Adecco is currently hiring a Rescue Technician for a temporary opportunity supporting industrial shutdown operations in Grand Falls, NB. This role is ideal for a safety-focused and dependable individual who thrives in high-responsibility environments and is passionate about maintaining safe working conditions during high-risk operations.

In this position, you will provide critical standby and roaming rescue support during shutdown activities while ensuring emergency preparedness, hazard monitoring, and compliance with safety procedures. You will work closely with site personnel and safety teams to maintain safe work environments, particularly in confined spaces and working-at-heights situations.

  • Salary: $21.00/hour

  • Location: Grand Falls, NB

  • Schedule: Monday to Sunday – 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

  • Employment Type: Temporary | Full-time

  • Vacancy Status: We are actively recruiting for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide standby rescue support for high-risk work activities

  • Perform roaming rescue duties while maintaining continuous site awareness and emergency readiness

  • Set up, inspect, and maintain rescue equipment to ensure compliance, functionality, and operational readiness

  • Conduct gas testing and continuous atmospheric monitoring to maintain safe working conditions

  • Maintain clear and effective radio communication with site personnel and safety teams

  • Complete all required documentation including rescue plans, toolbox talks, field tickets, timesheets, and safety reports

  • Support and enforce safe work practices in confined spaces and working-at-heights environments

  • Respond quickly and professionally to emergency situations as required

  • Ensure all rescue and safety protocols are followed at all times

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada

  • Previous OH&S experience is considered an asset

  • Strong awareness of workplace safety procedures and emergency response protocols

  • Ability to work in physically demanding and high-responsibility environments

  • Comfortable working extended shifts and rotating schedules

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
