Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Operations Procurement Specialist to support plant operations and maintenance activities for a leading organization. Reporting to the Controller, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of maintenance, repair, operating (MRO), and direct materials.
Acting as a key procurement partner, you will collaborate closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Finance teams to maintain operational continuity, optimize inventory, and drive effective supplier management across multiple facilities.
Pay Rate: up to $90,000/annually
Location: Edmonton, ON (on-site)
Shift: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:
Procurement & Inventory Management
Procure MRO and direct materials in alignment with cost, service, and compliance standards
Manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and daily MRP activities within SAP
Source and manage suppliers for plant-specific materials such as lubricants, specialty fluids, and pallets
Supplier & Contract Management
Evaluate vendor quotes and manage supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery metrics
Ensure compliance with national agreements and preferred supplier programs
Resolve issues related to purchasing, receiving, and invoicing in collaboration with internal teams and vendors
Maintenance & Operations Support
Partner with Maintenance teams to establish and maintain spare parts inventory levels
Conduct critical spare parts assessments and coordinate sourcing across sites
Support plant operations by ensuring material availability and minimizing downtime
Systems, Controls & Financial Coordination
Maintain accurate procurement and vendor data in SAP and COUPA systems
Support financial processes and help resolve accounts payable discrepancies
Ensure adherence to procure-to-pay processes and SOX compliance requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
Experience in manufacturing plant sourcing and procurement
Hands-on experience with SAP procurement systems
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) certification or equivalent
Experience with COUPA or similar procurement platforms
Strong understanding of inventory optimization and plant operations support
Detail-oriented with strong data accuracy and system management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Results-driven with a focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency
Commitment to compliance, process integrity, and continuous improvement
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
