Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time SMT (Surface‑Mount Technology) Operator for afternoons to work for Celestica, a globally known electronics manufacturer in Newmarket, ON. In this role you will be responsible for SMT machine operation and provide feedback for quality, efficiency, and productivity of the SMT Line. Previous SMT machine operation and manufacturing experience would be an asset.
Pay rate: $19.26/hour
Location: Newmarket, ON
Shifts: Monday to Friday | 3:00 pm -11:30 pm

Responsibilities:
Kitting based on Kitting Procedure Performs Short Strips and Loose Part Verification Performs return audit functions
Operates the scale, tape and reel counter, vacuum sealer machine and the parts programming machine Understands the operation of the pick and place machines Inventory storage systems such as FIFO
Packaging and labeling requirements Move/create bin boxes and performing cycle counts
Control of high dollar parts
Communicates to the Team Leader and/or Manufacturing Coach issues
SMT Machine Operation
Hand placement of SMT components
Set-up and operate the SMT Reflow Oven
Determine and coordinate resources for SMT line issues
Provide feedback for quality, efficiency and productivity of the SMT Line Provide leadership in the absence of the Team Leader
Coordinate and organize SMT machine operation
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in SMT operation is a plus.
Proven experience as an SMT Operator or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of surface mount technology processes and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Previous SMT machine operation is required
Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
