A part-time academic is required to teach INTD 3102.03 – “Being Brown in Canada: History, Impact and Challenges of the South Asian Diaspora” in the summer term of the 2025-26 academic year, July 6 – July 27, 2026.
The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class, including any tutorials, if required. In addition, the part-time academic is to be available for two hours per week outside of class time for student consultation. This class is offered in the summer term. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the IDS Department.
The expectation is this course will be online. Experience with teaching in an online environment is required. All instructors hired to teach online will be supported by Dalhousie’s Centre for Learning and Teaching, and Academic Technology Services (support@dal.ca) to deliver their courses online.
