Posting Description
Operations Analyst, SickKids
CGEn is a federally funded national platform for genome sequencing and analysis. Established in 2015, CGEn employs over 200 staff and is funded primarily by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) through its Major Science Initiatives Fund (MSIF), leveraging investments from the provincial governments of Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia, Genome Canada, and other partners. CGEn operates as an integrated national platform with nodes in Toronto (The Centre for Applied Genomics at The Hospital for Sick Children), Montréal, (McGill Genome Centre at McGill University) and Vancouver (Canada's Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre at PHSA), leading large-scale projects and providing advanced genomic services to enable research in the health sciences, agriculture, forestry, fishery, the environment, biodiversity, and other sectors of importance in Canada. This role will support key CGEn-central activities, including CGEn-wide operations.
The Operations Analyst provides critical cross-cutting operational, analytical, and coordination support to the CGEn Central team, with a focus on enabling efficient delivery of CGEn's national programs (e.g., HostSeq, CPHI, Technology Development, IDEA). This role will report to CGEn's Senior Manager, Operations & Partnerships and link to other portfolios including Communications, Strategy and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA). This is a good opportunity for someone with strong foundations in genomics, project management and knowledge translation.

· Administrative support to IDEA activities including CGEn-wide and node-specific programs and informational sessions
Ecosystem Engagement
· Prepare background research and briefing notes for new partnerships
· Support CGEn communications and outreach activities as needed, including assisting in translating outcomes from CGEn activities and CGEn-supported research into impact narratives.
Here's What You'll Need:
· Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., health sciences, life sciences, data analytics, program management).
· Experience with program coordination, data analysis, or research administration in a scientific or health-related environment.
· Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (Power BI/Tableau an asset).
