Your role
Depending on your level, you will take on responsibilities that will evolve with your experience and expertise:
- Listen to client needs, ask the right questions and handle a variety of situations, including complex cases.
- Advise individuals and small businesses by offering tailored solutions, including day-to-day transactions, personal financing, investments, customized insurance coverage and simple estate planning needs.
- Support clients through the mortgage renewal or renegotiation process.
- Provide a consistent, personalized and satisfying experience for every interaction.
- Refer clients to the appropriate specialists (investments, mortgage, insurance) to ensure they receive the best possible service.
- Follow compliance, security and risk management rules in all your activities.
As a banking advisor, you will work closely with a team of specialists in investments, mortgage financing and other areas. This day-to-day synergy exposes you to a wide range of financial situations and quickly deepens your knowledge.
Through these interactions and on-the-job training programs, you’ll build your expertise in banking solutions, the advisory approach and client needs. As a result, you can advance in your career as a banking advisor, expand your skill set and move into roles with more responsibility.

Prerequisites
- Having or obtaining a mutual fund licence (MFR) is essential if you want to access higher levels in this role
- College diploma (DEC) or equivalent
- Advisory service experience, inclusive attitude, and openness to diversity
