Job Purpose

GSK is looking to hire a Customer Excellence Manager to join our Customer Excellence Team. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence 2–3 days per week, and reports directly to the Capability and Development Manager. The ideal candidate will reside in or near Mississauga, Ontario.
 

As a Customer Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative learning solutions that strengthen the capabilities of our commercial teams. You will lead training and organizational development initiatives, conduct needs assessments, and implement coaching programs that elevate sales performance. Your ability to leverage data insights, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver engaging training experiences will be critical to success. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other internal partners to build a culture of continuous learning and drive excellence in customer engagement across Canada.

Details (Your Responsibilities)

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Build and execute comprehensive, forward-looking training and organizational development strategies aimed at unlocking high performance across the sales organization

  • Identify field force training and development needs through robust gap analysis leveraging data analytics, in-field observations, and structured feedback

  • Design, develop, and implement innovative training interventions to strengthen disease and product knowledge, as well as elevate selling and omnichannel engagement capabilities

  • Develop and deploy structured coaching programs for first- and second-line sales leaders to enhance their ability to lead, manage, and inspire high-performing teams

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through rigorous impact assessments, including in-field evaluations of product knowledge, selling skills, and coaching quality

  • Establish streamlined mechanisms to capture, analyze, and report field insights, including selling practices, coaching effectiveness, and competitor activities

  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to align and implement capability-building programs across markets

  • Drive excellence in both selling outcomes and coaching effectiveness by embedding best practices and performance standards

  • Lead onboarding and capability development programs for new hires, as well as training for new product launches and introductions

  • Leverage data-driven insights, KPIs (both lead and lag), and advanced learning technologies (including AI) to enhance commercial execution, enable on-demand learning, and foster a culture of continuous, employee-owned development
     

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree. Specialization in sciences/communication/training will be preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Training and Organizational Development, Sales Force training and other relevant functions. Prior Pharma Training Experience, Professional speaker experience or People Management Experience will be preferred

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills (virtual and in-person

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a matrixed organization

  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills
     

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks
• Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken)
• Experience working with global learning standards and compliance requirements

In compliance with Ontario's provincial pay transparency legislation, this job posting includes a salary range to support equitable and informed hiring practices. The annual compensation for this role is CAD108,000 to CAD158,000 , determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
