Adecco, in partnership with Walkers Capital Group of Companies Limited is currently hiring a full-time Operations Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Group’s household and commercial relocations business. Based out of the Kingston head office and serving as a core member of the Group’s management team, this role oversees fleet, dispatch, and service delivery across all locations. Working closely with Supervisors, Dispatchers, and other managers, the Operations Manager ensures that Moving & Storage services are delivered with high quality, efficiency, and profitability. Valid DZ or AZ license is required for this role.

  • Pay Rate: $26.44 - $31.25/hour (based on experience)

  • Location: Kingston, ON

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

Service Delivery & Operations

  • Coordinate daily dispatch of crews, fleet, and resources for moves and commercial projects.

  • Communicate regularly with Van Line personnel and maintain strong updates between office and job sites.

  • Ensure punctual dispatching, quick issue resolution, and effective problem‑solving.

  • Support development of a Quality Management program with the VP and Trainer.

  • Maintain resource forecasts (people, trucks, equipment) and plan proactively.

  • Enforce transportation and storage policies; reorganize resources when needed.

Team Leadership & Staff Management

  • Lead, coach, and support operations teams across field and warehouse roles.

  • Manage scheduling, timecards, and HR‑related processes.

  • Coordinate training, onboarding, and ongoing development with the Trainer.

  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across field teams.

Oversight, Compliance & Business Operations

  • Identify and implement operational improvements.

  • Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategies.

  • Oversee facility security, maintenance, staffing, and opening/closing routines.

  • Manage fleet maintenance, incidents, branding, and procurement.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Complete operational reports, safety documentation, and necessary administrative tasks.

  • Maintain high performance in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Qualifications:

  • Post‑secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field.

  • Bondable and able to obtain enhanced reliability security clearance.

  • Clean criminal record check and satisfactory driving record.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Access to a personal vehicle.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

  • Operations or staff management experience.

  • Human Resources or supervisory background.

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, moving, or storage industries.

  • Customer service or account management experience.

  • Please note DZ or AZ License is required for this role.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
