Adecco is currently hiring a Warehouse Lead Hand for a full-time position in a warehouse environment. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong warehouse experience who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys supporting team performance, safety, and operational excellence.

As a Warehouse Lead Hand, you will be responsible for coordinating daily warehouse activities, supporting team members, and ensuring operations are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. You will act as a working leader on the floor, helping drive productivity, quality, and service standards.

  • Salary: $25/hour

  • Location: Perth, ON

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday

  • Contract: Full-time | Temporary

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day direction and support to warehouse team members during assigned shifts

  • Assign tasks and organize workflow to meet operational and customer requirements

  • Act as the first point of contact for routine questions and issues on the warehouse floor

  • Support supervisors in monitoring productivity, quality, and adherence to procedures

  • Coordinate shift start-up, work allocation, and end-of-shift activities

  • Lead by example through safe work practices, strong attendance, and a positive attitude

  • Perform hands-on warehouse duties including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, loading, unloading, and inventory movement

  • Ensure orders are completed accurately and on time

  • Verify documentation, labels, and shipment information for accuracy

  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and discrepancy resolution

  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and proper product storage

  • Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures

  • Identify and report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions

  • Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to health and safety standards

  • Assist with onboarding and training new employees on processes, equipment, and safety expectations

  • Provide coaching and support to team members to improve performance and consistency

  • Communicate priorities and operational updates clearly to the team

  • Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to resolve operational issues

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help address workflow challenges

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • 2–5 years of warehouse or distribution experience

  • Previous experience in a lead hand or senior warehouse role preferred

  • Valid forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes

  • Experience with warehouse management systems, scanners, or RF technology is an asset

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening (including cannabis)

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills

  • Good problem-solving ability and sound judgment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to train and support team members effectively

  • Physical ability to perform warehouse duties including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions within a warehouse environment

  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada.
