Adecco, in partnership with our client, is currently hiring a full-time Site Superintendent to join our client’s construction team in Calgary, AB. In this role you will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership and day-to-day management of construction sites and site personnel. This role oversees the coordination of trades, materials, and resources to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans and specifications. Working closely with the Project Management team, the Site Superintendent fosters an engaged, accountable workforce while enforcing health, safety, and quality standards across the site.   • Pay Rate: $130K-$150K/annually

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the site safety leader, responsible for implementing and enforcing Traugott’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies with all employees and subcontractors on site

  • Provide daily supervision and coordination of trades to ensure efficient and safe site operations

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, applicable building codes, and quality standards

  • Drive the construction schedule in collaboration with the project team, ensuring milestones and project completion targets are achieved

  • Plan and manage manpower levels, material requirements, and equipment needs to ensure resources are available as required

  • Lead project meetings with owners, architects, consultants, engineers, internal teams, and government authorities to support ongoing project progress

  • Collaborate closely with trade partners and consultants to resolve issues and maintain alignment

  • Oversee project reporting to accurately track site progress, inspections, events, and key activities

  • Maintain detailed daily site reports documenting progress, inspections, and relevant site activities

  • Perform additional related duties as required to support project success

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of construction experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor

  • Proven experience delivering ground-up commercial retail construction projects

  • Journeyman Carpenter or related trade certification, with extensive hands-on experience using construction tools

  • Construction-related degree or diploma (e.g., Construction Management, CET, Engineering) considered an asset

  • Equivalent combination of work experience and technical training in an industry-related trade or certification program

  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protection practices applicable to standard construction processes

  • Strong understanding of current construction methods, including construction documents, drawings, specifications, and project management principles

  • Demonstrated ability to lead safe work practices in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage multiple project stakeholders and identify effective solutions

  • Proven ability to anticipate constructability challenges in complex projects and develop practical solutions within construction plans and schedules

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with familiarity using scheduling software

  • Valid provincial driver’s license, maintained in good standing

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
