Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly skilled and detail‑oriented Avionics Quality Engineer to ensure our client’s aerospace manufacturing processes, products, and systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role is essential in maintaining adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and customer requirements while driving continuous improvement across both internal operations and supplier networks.

  • Pay Rate: $33.00/hour

  • Location: Delta, BC

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 3-month contract with possibility of permanent

Responsibilities:

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, procedures, and documentation in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and customer specifications.

  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet all regulatory, certification, and contractual quality requirements.

Root Cause & Corrective Actions

  • Lead and perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams.

  • Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and prevent recurrence of nonconformances.

Manufacturing Quality Support

  • Conduct process audits, in‑process inspections, and quality planning activities to support production teams.

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined and achievable.

Audits & Compliance Activities

  • Lead internal audits and support customer, regulatory, and certification audits.

  • Monitor compliance, investigate nonconformances, and manage corrective actions through closure.

Supplier Quality

  • Support supplier quality tasks including supplier audits, PPAP/FAI review, and follow‑up on supplier corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze quality data, metrics, and trends to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.

  • Support and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance process capability.

FAI & Risk Management

  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) processes per AS9102 requirements.

  • Assist with PFMEA, control plans, and risk‑management activities to ensure robust process design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.

  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace or another regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA regulatory frameworks.

  • Proficient in root cause analysis and corrective action tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.

  • Experience with one or more manufacturing processes:

  • Machining

  • Assembly

  • Composites

  • Special processes (plating, heat treat, NDT, etc.)

  • Familiarity with AS9102 FAI requirements.

  • Experience with supplier quality management and supplier audits.

  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and quality management software.

  • Professional certifications such as Six Sigma, CQE, or equivalent are strong assets.

  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
