This exciting position is for an Intermediate Designer in our Vancouver Interior Design Studio. We are looking for a talented designer with strong conceptual skills and broad technical understanding to work with our clients and talented staff on exciting, fast paced, and diverse projects. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Lead 2D and 3D concept design
  • Develop relationships with clients and industry piers
  • Navigate and collaboratively create construction document packages under the brief guidance of senior staff
  • Effectively participate, challenge, and inspire staff to work together cohesively as a team, able to share knowledge and skills with a larger team.
  • Collaborate with other sectors to deliver truly integrated project solutions and strengthen/broaden the interiors team experience base
  • Build relationships within multiple locations of Stantec offices and outside the company.
  • Actively engage in design community and represent Interiors Studio both internally and externally.
  • Participate in strategic business development and client management for the Interior group.
  • Work with marketing team to enrich our marketing materials and exposure

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong concept talents, able to develop creative concepts within fast paced projects
  • Commitment to excellence and high standard of internal and external communication and brand representation
  • Ability to convert conceptual vision into constructable reality
  • Strong organization, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to engage colleagues and communicate the needs of the client to bring the right solution to project
  • Able to communicate complex design concepts to clients
  • Strong presentation skills, able to story tell and sell the concept
  • Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in a variety of sectors is desirable; commercial, workplace, retail, food & beverage, aviation, education, healthcare
  • Ability to collaborate with team, then incorporate solutions independently
  • Understanding of industry software required in project delivery; Revit - minimum 3 years of experience working with the software as primary means of design, construction documentation and construction administration, Photoshop, Sketchup, Enscape, InDesign, Bluebeam
  • Engaging & collaborative nature and passionate about design
  • Creative, strategic, and organized. Able to create a game plan, delegate and execute

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or other relevant courses of study.
  • 5+ years of design experience including business development responsibilities.
  • NCIDQ registration is encouraged.

Pay Range:

• Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$62,900.00 - $91,200.00 Annually

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
