Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Structural Engineer to join our client’s engineering team. In this role, you will lead the structural design of multi-discipline projects from proposal through completion, ensuring budgets, schedules, and quality objectives are met. You’ll perform structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings using wood, steel, masonry, and concrete. As a senior team member, you’ll also mentor junior staff and manage designers and technologists while collaborating with internal teams and clients.

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Manage structural design for multi-discipline projects from concept to completion.

  • Perform structural analysis and design for various structures using multiple materials.

  • Prepare project deliverables including reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.

  • Develop fee proposals and support business development initiatives.

  • Conduct structural inspections, investigations, and field reviews.

  • Provide construction support and contract administration, including shop drawing reviews.

  • Lead projects to ensure timely, on-budget delivery aligned with quality standards.

  • Mentor junior engineers and oversee support personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Structural focus); Master’s degree is an asset.

  • Minimum 7 years of structural engineering experience with proven technical and project management skills.

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registration in Ontario (other provinces or U.S. states an asset).

  • Ability to travel periodically for site visits and meetings.

  • Strong structural analysis and design skills; experience with design software is an asset.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with structural software preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain security clearance.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
