Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Program Management – Retail Business Strategy is a critical role that partners with senior leaders to drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that shape Walmart Canada’s strategic direction. This role requires an owner's mindset, data-driven decision-making, and strong program management skills to lead initiatives from concept to execution while operating in executive-heavy, fast-paced environments.

You’ll play a hands-on role in analyzing complex data, identifying strategic opportunities, and delivering key outcomes while influencing senior stakeholders across the organization.

What you'll do...

Program Leadership & Strategic Delivery 

  • Drive critical programs from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and measurable outcomes. 

  • Partner with business leaders to build and deliver robust execution plans for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. 

  • Develop high-impact executive deliveries, including business cases and recommendations to gain leadership approvals. 

  • Leverage data analytics tools and methodologies to independently derive insights and support strategic decision-making 

Performance Optimization & Risk Management 

  • Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate program performance, inform decisions, and drive accountability. 

  • Lead efforts to streamline processes, systems, and workflows for operational efficiency. 

  • Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution. 

Executive Engagement & Stakeholder Management 

  • Confidently lead conversations in executive-heavy environments, synthesizing complexity into actionable clarity. 

  • Influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority to foster alignment and momentum. 

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless program delivery. 

What You Bring 

  • 5+ years in program management, strategic planning, consulting, or business operations in a complex, matrixed organization. 

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills; ability to craft compelling business narratives and influence decisions. 

  • Proven ability to lead large-scale programs with executive visibility and cross-functional collaboration. 

  • MBA or equivalent preferred.
     

  • Experience in retail, consumer goods, or eCommerce is a strong asset.

The pay range for this position is $109,400.00 - $150,480.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
