You have:
- At least 3 years of experience in design and development of learning and development programs
- Successful completion of post-secondary education OR completion of post graduate courses in Instructional Design, Adult Education and/or Multimedia Studies
- Proficiency with Camtasia for screen recording and video editing
- Experience with text-to-speech tools such as Articulate Storyline or Natural Readers, including preparing AI-optimized scripts and syncing generated audio with video content
- Advanced experience in using rapid eLearning development using authoring tools (e.g. Articulate 360)
- Experience creating job aids, quick-reference guides, or performance support tools based on instructional content
- Intermediate experience in interactive and graphic design (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Vyond, Photoshop, video and audio recording/editing) including visual design and layout skills to develop quality learning materials
- Strong project management and organizational skills to effectively manage competing priorities
- Technology-savvy – practical experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) - adept at listening, questioning, explaining, presenting and giving feedback
Nice to have:
- Completion of a CTDP or RGD designation
What you will do:
- Use rapid development tools such as Camtasia and Articulate Storyline, create interactive, engaging, and accessible learning materials
- Record and edit audio and video content, manipulate stock photography and images, and design visually appealing layouts and user interfaces
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop clear, structured narration scripts using AI-assisted templates and prompt-based refinement
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to clean up SME-provided narration, enhance grammar and clarity, and transform transcripts into polished scripts suitable for voiceover and learning delivery
- Prepare and optimize scripts for use with text-to-speech software, ensuring natural pacing, tone, and alignment with visual content
- Analyze and transform complex information into effective learning experiences
- Develop and maintain learning plans, storyboards, scripts, facilitator and participant guides, e-learning modules, and supporting documentation
- Create concise, visually effective job aids and quick-reference guides derived from video content to support on-the-job learning and performance
- Write and refine clear, concise instructional content; manage the review process; and ensure alignment with learning objectives
- Consolidate and analyze stakeholder feedback, present content variations with proposed solutions, and address concerns to obtain sign-off
- Evaluate learning programs and recommend new technologies, tools, and design techniques to enhance instructional effectiveness
- Assist in the creation of communication materials to promote learning solutions across diverse audiences
