Reporting to the HSSE Programs Manager, the Auditing and Assurance lead is responsible for evaluating thru auditing JFJV contractor performance. In addition, there will be a requirement to conduct competency assessment on specific skills/activities that may be identified.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES / FUNCTIONS:
• Deliver high quality assurance and audit reporting, new, current and high- risk contractors
• Maintain a current register of audit results, scheduling and opportunities for improvement
• Work in accordance with Standards established within the JFJV Safety Management System
• Review/update audit, assurance and competency practices as may be required
• Act as a field safety advisor on occasions where additional support is required
• Ensure the highest safety standards are met in accordance with legislation and site policies
• Other safety related responsibilities as assigned
• Consistently demonstrates a professional code of conduct
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Project site/field working conditions.
• Onsite-site project workspace of various conditions which may include temporary office facilities and exposure to outside weather.
• Ability to work shiftwork
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES INCLUDING LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
• Audit/assurance experience including as a Minimum a Cor audit certification
• A superior level of experience and knowledge related to working within the framework of major project safety systems
• Ability to coach and develop
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• A team player who is flexible and exercises good decision making.
• Strong attention to detail, including ability to consistently follow procedures within strict time constraints.
