Adecco is actively seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our client’s team in Cambridge/Waterloo area in Ontario. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of $80,000 per annum. In this role, you will ensure that equipment is operational and well-maintained, travelling to client locations across Western Ontario to provide top-notch service.

  • Pay Rate: $80k/year.

  • Location: Cambridge/Waterloo area

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Travel to client locations throughout Western Ontario to service and repair equipment.

  • Utilize various tools and processes for equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing effective solutions to ensure proper operating conditions.

  • Inspect and diagnose equipment to identify necessary repairs and maintenance.

  • Proactively identify required work and communicate effectively with supervisors.

  • Complete paperwork in a timely manner to ensure accurate records.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work vehicle and work area.

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technician or mechanic position, preferably with heavy equipment.

  • Strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical aptitude, with experience using various power tools.

  • Clean criminal background and valid G Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

  • Experience with hydraulics and electrical assembly is an asset.

  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities, working well under pressure.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience dealing with customers in the field is a plus.
