Adecco is actively seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our client’s team in Central Ontario. In this role, you will travel to client locations to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities include performing maintenance using various tools, diagnosing mechanical issues, completing accurate documentation, and maintaining a clean work environment. This role requires you to have at least 3 years of technician or mechanic experience, strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical skills, and a valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract. Legal eligibility to work in Canada and excellent communication skills are required.

·         Pay Rate: $80k/year.

  • Location: Barrie, ON

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Travel to client locations throughout Central Ontario to service and repair equipment.

  • Utilize various tools and processes for equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing effective solutions to ensure proper operating conditions.

  • Inspect and diagnose equipment to identify necessary repairs and maintenance.

  • Proactively identify required work and communicate effectively with supervisors.

  • Complete paperwork in a timely manner to ensure accurate records.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work vehicle and work area.

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technician or mechanic position, preferably with heavy equipment.

  • Strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical aptitude, with experience using various power tools.

  • Clean criminal background and valid G Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

  • Experience with hydraulics and electrical assembly is an asset.

  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities, working well under pressure.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience dealing with customers in the field is a plus.
