Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Forklift Operator / Material Handler is responsible for a variety of warehouse operations including loading, unloading, moving, picking, and placing materials. This role ensures the accurate handling of inventory, order fulfillment, and documentation. The successful candidate must be proficient with forklifts and pallet trucks, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy.

  • Pay Rate: up to $20.00/hour (based on experience)

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, and assemble orders ensuring products are damage-free

  • Verify shipments with proper documentation, piece counts, and weight checks

  • Prepare shipping labels and ensure shipment identification

  • Maintain clean and organized workstations per safety and operational standards

  • Audit incoming and outgoing shipments for condition, quantity, and accuracy

  • Report product damage or discrepancies

  • Sort, distribute, and store incoming goods properly

  • Track and confirm receipt of all shipments

  • Resolve issues such as missing documentation

  • Participate in regular inventory cycle counts

  • Report inventory discrepancies or unusual product movement

  • Follow FIFO and other inventory protocols

  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation

  • Monitor and restock shipping supplies

  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams

  • Identify and report equipment maintenance needs

  • Follow housekeeping and cleanliness standards

  • Adhere to all federal and local safety regulations

  • Perform other tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred

  • Forklift Operator’s License required (Toyota Electric Counterbalance and Crown Walkie (ride on power pallet jack).

  • Experience in packaged goods or warehousing is an asset

  • Courses in materials handling are a plus

  • Proficient in forklift and pallet truck operation

  • Familiarity with waybills, bills of lading, and packing methods

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills

  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 kg

  • Good verbal and written English communication skills

  • Basic math and computer skills (Excel, email)

  • Positive team attitude and strong work ethic

  • Comfortable working in a hot production area (up to 35°C in the summer).

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
