JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical Engineer provides internal and customer facing strategic and tactical advice related to energy infrastructure products and services with a focus on innovation and customer value. The Electrical Engineer identifies, designs and implements energy infrastructure solutions for institutional, industrial and commercial clients through the technical and project management service delivery, while participating in activities to develop, grow and market the business.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, design and execute electrical system projects in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders

  • Fully prepare and execute design concepts

  • Collaborate with clients and designers regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings

  • Produce all documentation including design development information and schematics as well as tender and construction documents to fulfill project requirements

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, technical reports, and feasibility studies

  • Provide project management services throughout the life of projects from design to construction completion including:

  • Liaising with client to determine needs of the project and create a project plan

  • Managing sub-consultants and contractors on field sites

  • Creating and monitoring project schedule

  • Implementing a quality management plan

  • Ensuring a project is constructed as per design, quality, budget, and schedule

  • Reporting on project progress to stakeholders

  • Negotiating revisions to scope of work, enforcing the contract/design documents, and resolving disputes

  • Develop technical engineering plans and standards

  • Analyze data, information and standards to prepare detailed designs and reports

  • Manage programs and lead special projects as required

  • Deliver services to meet financial targets and objectives

  • Develop industry relationships to support growth of business to promote and increase awareness of the Envari brand in the marketplace

  • Perform other related duties as required
     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Professional Engineer, licensed or able to be licensed in the province of Ontario; or Engineer in Training (EIT) in the province of Ontario

  • Post-secondary education in electrical engineering or related discipline from an accredited university

  • Experience designing and implementing electrical systems

  • Experience in business development, proposal and work plan preparation

  • Experience managing construction projects, coordinating with trades and consultants, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget

  • Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of MS Office suite of products

  • Electrical infrastructure or utility experience considered an asset

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification considered an asset

  • English essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset

  • Valid driver’s license – Class G

This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

$89,420.99

Pay Range Maximum:

$134,130.81
