Your Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings Group. The successful candidate will contribute to electrical engineering projects, provide technical expertise, and support the delivery of high-quality building designs. This role requires a solid understanding of electrical systems, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints.
  • Prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall building designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our engineering services. "

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proven track record of successfully contributing to complex electrical engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on building projects.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
