Adecco is actively seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This role is critical in overseeing accounting functions, implementing robust internal controls, and providing financial insights to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and a proven track record in managing accounting teams and processes in a dynamic environment.

  • Pay Rate: $100k-$120k/year.

  • Location: Barrie, ON

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP

  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes

  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • CPA designation required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
