Westland Insurance Group Ltd. is growing and has an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive in our Group Benefits Division. This is a hybrid role based out of our Richmond office in BC. If you're passionate about managing client relationships, delivering strategic benefits solutions, and helping businesses protect what matters most to their people, you'll love working with Westland!

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $84,000 to $105,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual salary offered will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

Why we'll love You:
  • You bring 5+ years of experience in group benefits or employee benefits account management
  • You have strong knowledge of group health, dental, life, disability, and ancillary benefits products
  • You have a proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver strategic, results-driven solutions
  • You're an excellent communicator and problem solver, with strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • You're proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • You hold a valid Life License (LLQP) in BC
  • CEBS, GBA, or related industry designations are considered strong assets
  • You demonstrate accountability, collaboration, expertise, resiliency, and a client-first mindset

Once here, you'll:
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of group benefits clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client decision-makers, plan administrators, and advisors
  • Lead annual renewals in collaboration with Underwriting, including carrier negotiations, rate analysis, and plan design recommendations
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review plan performance, introduce new offers, and gather feedback
  • Develop and implement benefits strategies tailored to client needs and business goals
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly and mid-year reviews with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with carriers to implement plan changes, resolve claims issues, and ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Respond to client inquiries on billing, claims, eligibility, and plan design
  • Maintain accurate and current client records in CRM and internal systems
  • Work closely with Sales, Underwriting, and Client Services to deliver seamless service
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Westland's suite of benefits and insurance products to drive growth within existing accounts
  • Track and report on retention and growth metrics
