MPP-DS invites applications for the following teaching position in the 2025-26 session:

PUBPOL 714: Cross-Sectoral Perspectives on Housing Policy

This course surveys the economic principles, policies and incentives that shape the housing market in Canada. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the factors influencing housing supply and demand, the role of government intervention, and the impact of various policy measures on housing supply, affordability, and accessibility. Students will examine case studies of policy design in the housing space over time, and engage in critical discussions on contemporary housing issues.

The successful candidate will have a track record of research and teaching appointments at the rank commensurate with an Adjunct Professor, Associate Professor or Professor of Practice.

Applicants must have an area of specialization in Canadian housing policy across sectors, and experience as a practitioner in or with government is desired but not required.  The Faculty of Social Sciences and MPP-DS have significant strengths in the areas of research, teaching and mentorship. The successful applicant will teach at graduate level and have a demonstrated track record of excellent teaching.

The incumbent will be appointed at the appropriate rank with MPP-DS, located on the main university campus to begin January 2026.
