Why This Role is Important:
As the Senior Manager, Product Design, your goal will be to lead a design practice within PC Financial with a focus on redefining the digital experiences across mobile and web for our banking customers. You'll lead a hard-working team of Product Designers, Content Designers, and CMS Specialists that create thoughtful and considerate experiences that our customers just can't live without. You'll navigate and influence our teams and leaders in order to help achieve unheard-of growth and transformation for Canada's biggest retailer. Leave a legacy of Product Design excellence within an essential service to all Canadians.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the PC Financial Design team, creating a clear vision for improving digital experiences and executing a plan together.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing and other cross-functional teams to ensure best-in-class Product Design drives the evolution of our digital experiences.
- Elevate and passionately advocate for Product and Content Design across the enterprise, maximizing the perceived value of function.
- Develop, optimize, and integrate leading design practices and processes across the business.
- Drive customer-centric results throughout the customer journey, transforming PC Financial.
- Hire, manage, and retain exceptional talent, fostering their career growth and autonomy.
- Coach and manage expertise across the design process, from problem definition to dev collaboration.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience as a designer on cross-functional teams releasing consumer experiences or enterprise products.
- 2+ years managing and mentoring product design teams.
- Expertise and experience in content design, as well as prior experience leading a content design team.
- Portfolio showcasing beautiful, accessible, and scalable digital experiences.
- Experience working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to balance stakeholder needs and technical constraints in problem framing and solutioning.
- Ability to use design to uncover questions, explore solutions, and define and measure success.
- Demonstrated contribution to design practice and team culture.
