Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Risk Management (ORM), we are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, ORM within the 2nd line of defence Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function. The Senior Analyst, ORM will be required to collaborate and work closely with the various business stakeholders (e.g. Credit Risk, Anti-Money Laundering, Compliance, Sales, Operations, etc.) within PC Bank as well as the larger ERM team.
The role is focused on helping the Bank manage non-financial risks related to people, processes, controls and systems through conducting Risk and Control Assessments (RCAs). A background in compliance, risk management or audit is required.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct RCAs to ensure risks and controls are properly identified and assessed with business partners focusing on operational risk
- Plan and execute control testing engagements of key controls using PC Bank’s established methodology
- Coordinate and oversee the issue management process including identifying control gaps and work with the business to develop recommendations for remediation
- Manage the preparation and presentation of engagement results and monthly reporting to Key Business Owners for ORM Committee reporting
- Assist with the compilation of the monthly ORM Committee reporting
- Assist with the updates to ORM policies, procedures and manuals as needed
- Advise the business in the development of new processes and controls as the business evolves
- Develop and manage relationships with Key Business Owners to provide ongoing support of Bank’s ORM risk framework
- Exposure and contribute to different ORM/ERM functions such as Technology and Cyber Security, Third-Party Risk Management, etc. within the Bank.
What You'll Need:
- University degree or College diploma required
- CPA and/or CRM professional designation preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a risk management, controls assessment, compliance, audit or similar function
- Strong understanding and knowledge of risks and controls
- Experience in the financial services industry and/or at an Audit firm
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinker with the proven ability to solve problems and make decisions based on qualitative and/or quantitative analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member within ORM/ERM functions
- Ability to document and present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent project and time management skills and ability to work independently towards deadlines
- Ability to distill complex ideas into succinct and clear summaries
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
