Your job
- Perform reconciliations and analyses of results and balance sheets
- Identify and explain discrepancies and irregularities and ensure corrective actions are taken if necessary
- Actively participate in the month-end and year-end processes
- Develop and implement control mechanisms for accounting, tax, or financial operations in the month-end and quarter-end processes to ensure the quality of financial information in the Financial Markets sector
- Participate in the application of new activities, policies, standards, and procedures related to your sector and implement appropriate analysis and controls
- Stay alert to any opportunities for continuous improvement of current activities and implement them
- Ensure up-to-date and adequate documentation is maintained
- Implement tailored solutions in collaboration with senior analysts and senior advisors to support the execution of activities, considering the diversity of cases
- Interact with various colleagues in the finance sector to offer support and advice in the processes under your responsibility
Your Team
Within the Financial Markets Accounting sector, you will join a large team of nearly 70 colleagues. You will report to the senior director and be part of a team of 13 people of various levels and expertise. The Financial Disclosure and Performance team emphasizes teamwork in a spirit of continuous improvement with good humour.
Prerequisites
- Completed bachelor’s degree related to the sector and 3 to 4 years of relevant experience
- CPA accounting designation obtained or in the process of obtaining
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a complex IT environment
- Ability to communicate and work in a team
- Comfortable in a constantly evolving environment
