Department, Unit or Project Description:
The Clinical Education Coordinator (CEC) within the Masters of Child Life and Pediatric Psychosocial Care program is seeking an ePortfolio assistant/research assistant to help facilitate our ePortfolio program and students. This is a virtual role and includes creating resources to assist students in the creation of their ePortfolios, meeting virtually with students as needed to support the ongoing development of their ePortfolios and reporting to the CEC regularly. There will also be an opportunity to participate in an ongoing ePortfolio research project.
Job Summary:
Provide specialized support and contributions to course/curriculum (re)design efforts.
Accountabilities:
1. Work with teaching faculty and the Program Director in implementing a new educational program.
2. Facilitate the implementation of an online educational delivery platform.
3. Follow up on any issues, complaints or needs of instructors, TA’s and students.
Qualifications:
Education: Master level education or above.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a senior administrative roles.
A minimum of 3 years in higher education learning.
Additional Information:
- Stream 1 graduate of the Master’s in Child Life & Pediatric Psychosocial Care Program preferred
- Experience designing and using an ePortfolio
- Create resource materials for use of Canva in developing ePortfolios (videos, how to guide, creating demo ePortfolio, etc.)
- Be available for virtual office hours with students to support them in their ePortfolio development.
- Provide feedback to the CEC regarding the ePortfolio platform to inform program plans/development.
- Contribute to the preparation of data for reports, papers, etc.
- Perform other related tasks as outlined by the CEC.
- A successful candidate would possess initiative, independence and be passionate about supporting students with respect to the development of ePortfolios in professional practice programs.
- This position requires excellent communication, organization, and task management skills.
- Knowledge of creative platforms such as Canva and working knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
- Provide virtual support to learners through special projects.
