In this role, you will :
- Oversee equipment distribution operations including but not limited to inventory and parts management, equipment reprocessing, customer and the client service site equipment delivery process.
- Provide expert technical advice to staff, volunteers, and health care professionals, pertaining to health equipment.
- Monitor program delivery to ensure performance standards and quality control are maintained.
- Ensure that all WHMIS Program requirements are adhered to for assigned sites.
- Participate in equipment cleaning, disinfection, inspection, repair, database, delivery, and installation as needed to meet operational requirements.
- Supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and equipment standards.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and support all program technical staff and volunteers.
- Collaborate with Partner Services on equipment-related issues including equipment inventory needs, repairs etc.
- Ensure that HELP fleet vehicles are maintained according to National fleet maintenance policies.
What we are looking for :
- Completion of a 2-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant field, 3 years of job-related work experience, and 2 years’ experience supervising employees and/or volunteers, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience working with a diverse population and an understanding of cultural issues.
- Valid BC Driver’s License.
- Mechanical, maintenance, assembly or repair experience.
- Ability to be self-directed and to manage multiple priorities.
- Computer proficiency.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Medical equipment repair experience is considered an asset.
Working Conditions :
- Frequent travel around the region is required.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
