McMaster University is a world-leader in evidence synthesis, guideline development and evidence informed policy making, and related research and application of methods.  FHS has a vision for an Evidence Synthesis and Support Institute (ESSI) that will serve as an avenue to coalesce the groupings working in this area and foster increased collaboration. To move forward with this vision, we are seeking an individual who will serve as the inaugural director and work with FHS and relevant stakeholders to develop plans for ESSI operations and programming and, ultimately, launch the new institute. 

This opportunity is open to full time faculty members with a primary appointment in the Faculty of Health Sciences.  The successful applicant will be expected to have clear evidence of leadership, scientific excellence and a strong history of scholarly work in evidence synthesis.
