Essential Responsibilities
- Review, understand, follow, and enforce all safe work practices and procedures
- Facilitate morning toolbox talks and site/company meetings
- Instruct crew on daily work activities and follow up to ensure compliance
- Lead and mentor a team to ensure quality and efficient operations
- Complete daily documentation including: FLHAs (Field Level Hazard Assessments), timesheets, shift reports, pre/post-inspections of all tools and equipment, and any other paperwork required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction leadership role
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the heavy civil and/or mining industry
- Strong public speaking and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong safety culture and values
- Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Must have a valid Driver's License and a clear driver's abstract
- Ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment is considered an asset.
- Previous experience completing reclamation projects is considered an asset.
Work Conditions
- Shift based position with 20 days on, and 10 days off rotation working 12 hours per day
- Must be able to work both dayshift and nightshift
- Rotation travel allowance provided (proof of residency required)
- Driving to and from the project location is an option as there is parking available
- Site based camp accommodations provided
