In this role, you will :
- Work with the Occupational Therapists and other team members to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the Health Equipment Loan Program including the Specialized Equipment Program and Transitional Care Unit pilot expansion.
- Support the Occupational Therapists with administrative duties and ensure data entry is completed in a timely manner. Provide administrative support to the health equipment loan program and provincial employees as required.
- Liaise and build relationships with the external Care Coordinators or designates for the overall delivery of the Health Equipment Loan Program, including coordination of delivery and pickup of equipment.
- In coordination with the team maintain inventory records on equipment loans, returns and statistics in accordance with program policies and procedures.
- Perform a variety of administrative functions including move it (receiving requests), printing, data entry, photocopying, collating, filing, consolidating documents, preparing and assisting with reports and preparing monthly statistical information.
- Support other Red Cross initiatives, as needed, to provide for a coordinated team effort to meet the needs of the most vulnerable in the community.
What we are looking for :
- The minimum qualifications for this position are post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Office Administration or Health related field, and one to three years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in English is mandatory.
- Exceptional computer skills are essential; an expert in office software and application, with particular emphasis on MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team and build positive internal and external relationships.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple issues simultaneously in a complex environment.
- Exemplary customer service skills are essential.
- Experience working with internal and external clients; providing time sensitive resolutions.
- Previous experience with administrative tasks such as dealing with queries on phone and email, managing schedules and organizing and storing information.
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract is an asset.
