The Role: Reporting to the Director, Alumni Engagement, the Associate Director, Faculty Alumni Engagement will oversee the development of alumni engagement programs in each of McMaster’s six faculties. The Associate Director will work with the Director, Alumni Engagement, and the Dean of each Faculty to develop a comprehensive engagement plan designed to increase alumni engagement within the faculty and departments and support the strategic initiatives of the Dean and Faculty through high-quality, meaningful opportunities for alumni to maintain positive relationships. The role will oversee and supervise the Alumni Engagement Officers and other related roles that will execute the programming and initiatives.
Qualified candidates will have a solid understanding of alumni relations as well as an excellent working knowledge of University operations. A university degree (McMaster degree preferred) accompanied by strong initiative and self-motivation will position candidates well for this role. A minimum of five years of alumni relations experience and leadership is required, with at least three of which are at a management level with a proven successful track record. Candidates with exceptional strategic, analytical, project management and organizational skills with demonstrated success in these areas is highly desired. Superior interpersonal and communication skills are also critical skills for success in this role.
