Reporting to the VP, Talent and Total Rewards, the Director, HR Technology & Workforce Analytics oversees the development and deployment of HR technology and people analytics globally, and ensures the seamless operation of HR activities across the enterprise. They will play a pivotal role in advancing TMX’s global operations through the introduction of tools and processes that enhance efficiency and enhance the employee experience, including the continuous management of the HRIS, Workday, and enabling data driven people insights. They will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a diverse team of professionals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Execute our HR technology strategy in alignment with the organization's HR and business goals, emphasizing data governance principles.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies that may enhance TMX’s HR operations.
- Establish and oversee effective governance processes for HR systems, including defining data ownership, access controls, audit trails, and compliance monitoring.
- Ensure internal controls are implemented to safeguard HR data, ensuring data security, confidentiality, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of HR systems, which includes the organization's HRIS, Workday and other integrated HR tools.
- Collaborate with IT and HR teams to ensure seamless integration of HR technologies with other systems and platforms while maintaining governance protocols.
- Manage relationships with HR systems vendors, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
- Lead the development of HR-related reports and analytics, providing data-driven insights for talent management, workforce planning, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure that HR has the proper analytical tools to support reporting and analytics requirements; implement new tools as appropriate.
- Continue the implementation of TMX’s global payroll strategy to harmonize and streamline payroll operations in all our operating locations.
- Oversee other aspects of HR operations including contract management, audit & compliance and HR budgeting.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization within HR functions to streamline operations and improve organizational efficiencies; develop change management strategies that enhance the adoption and effectiveness of process changes.
Must Have:
- 10+ years’ experience leading HR technology systems deployment and maintenance. Experience with Workday is highly desirable.
- Must possess a deep understanding and experience in building relationships and establishing credibility with stakeholders across multiple departments through a consultative approach.
- Experience in project management, ensuring that HR technology deployments have clear requirements, stakeholder alignment and practical implementation plans.
- Adept at leading and inspiring teams with a team empowerment mindset; makes it a priority to develop others.
- Ability to quickly triage business requests, consult and seek to understand, generate solutions, make difficult decisions, resolve conflict, and apply sound judgment.
- Possesses strong business acumen and organizational skills to deliver results in a complex fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including strong communication and change management competencies.
- A Bachelor’s degree, Master’s or advanced degree in Human Resources, HR/IT Project Management or Analytics is desirable
- Experience working in global organizations would be an asset
