The Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University, is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-stream Dentist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
The position is within the division of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. It will require preclinical and didactic teaching as part of the undergraduate dental program. The position will also involve some clinical teaching responsibilities and one day per week may be set aside for clinical private practice. Additional expectations include participation in research, continuing education and extracurricular involvement, including Faculty committees.
Candidates must have successfully completed their National Dental Examining Board of Canada examinations and be eligible for licensure by the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia. Preference will be given to candidates who have substantial clinical experience and those who have some preclinical or clinical teaching experience. The faculty does not offer academic licensure. Development of a program of research is required; therefore candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in and will to do research, and must have research experience. Experience as an independent principal investigator, especially in research related to radiology, is an asset. Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, experience, and achievements.
