Adecco is actively seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our client’s team in Carleton Place, ON. In this full-time role, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy-duty farm machinery both in the shop and on-site at customer locations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, solving problems independently, and interacting with customers. You'll work with a knowledgeable service team, have access to ongoing training, and play a key role in keeping essential equipment running smoothly across the region.

  • Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour.

  • Location: Carleton Place, ON

  • Shift: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday, rotating weekends as needed)

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Diagnose, repair, and recondition heavy machinery sold by the dealership

  • Install and configure new equipment per specifications and customer requirements

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs

  • Troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and interpret findings accurately

  • Travel to customer locations for on-site service and repairs

  • Maintain organized records of repairs, parts used, and service reports

  • Train customers on equipment use and preventative maintenance

  • Support other departments to enhance overall customer satisfaction

  • Stay current with product knowledge, participate in training, and attend team meetings

  • Adhere to company safety policies, manuals, and employee guidelines

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilities

  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment (preferred)

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and field service best practices

  • Experience in repair shops, dealerships, or warehouse settings

  • Basic computer skills for inventory and service record management

  • Ability to lift and manage heavy equipment and parts

  • Valid driver’s license for travel to customer sites

  • High School Diploma or GED (asset)
