What you’ll do
The Operations Planning Center is CTC’s Supply Chain planning hub. The OPC works with our integrated partners - CTC Associate Stores, Suppliers, Forecasting and Replenishment, Execution Teams (DCs, Trans), Third Party Providers and Carriers to plan efficient product flow across our network.
Capacity and Production Planning’s vision is to be recognized leaders in the planning of supply chain operations, to facilitate growth, reliability and cost effectiveness.
Participate in the development of both long- and short-term capacity plans and take a leadership role in the weekly communication, coordination, and achievement of these goals within a specialized business discipline.
Provide business intelligence, investigate options, and make recommendations to Supply Chain partners across the corporation, using skills and subject matter expertise to achieve organizational goals (i.e capacity relief, OMSL targets, DC productivity, etc)
Planning processes, tools, and reporting to support organizational goals (i.e capacity relief, OMSL targets, DC productivity, etc)
Leverage and further develop technical and business expertise to enhance processes, queries, reports and information streams within the Capacity/Production Planning environment, affecting cross functional teams such as DCs, Transportation, F&R, and Ordering Operations
Continue to strengthen and build relationships with Supply Chain partners to ensure smooth and consistent communications.
Lead large-scale process improvement initiatives from induction through to implementation. Coordinate all required activities including both system and process investigation, design, build, documentation, testing, rollout, and organizational change management.
Prioritize and cope with competing and changing objectives in support of both short- and long-term goals while maintaining stakeholder expectations.
Mitigate operational risks to meeting CTC enterprise level goals and targets by pro-actively anticipating issues and barriers to change, as well as communicating recommendations to management to overcome these barriers.
What you bring
An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Business or similar discipline is preferred.
Two or more years in logistics or supply chain related capacity is preferred.
Thorough understanding of the principles of Logistics, Distribution and Forecasting & Replenishment.
Strong PC skills with a knowledge of MS Access, Excel, Power Point, Word or similar packages required.
Exceptional analytical planning and organizational skills, proven track record managing to strict deadlines.
Ability and confidence to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders of varied levels with strong project management skills.
Ability to work with detailed data to create business information.
Knowledge of JDA F&R, PPA, AOM, IMS, PAL, and other OPC Applications is an asset.
