What is the Opportunity?
The Endpoint Threat Integration team supports multiple critical enterprise wide security applications. We are looking for a Senior Technical Systems Analyst to join our team in helping protect RBC. In this role you will provide in-depth technical expertise, consulting and advisory on applications for the Endpoint Security Management and Operations within RBC’s global Cyber Security environment. The Senior Technical System Analyst will partner across various teams and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs in order to maintain RBC security posture.
What will you do?
Manage joint development, plan and co-ordinate implementations, contingency plans and application upgrades for multiple endpoint security solutions.
Work closely and collaborate with peers and business partners to understand the security requirements and 3rd party application capabilities.
Organize and participate in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications, integrations and unit test plans.
Document and execute unit test, system, integration and acceptance test, ensuring adequate technical documentation for integration and daily support is in place.
Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Knowledge of and the ability to support multiple Endpoint Security technologies on Windows, Linux and MacOS platforms.
Strong knowledge of the following technology types: IP addressing, routing and subnetting, host based firewall technologies, databases and web applications.
Experience on various OS server platforms including Windows, Linux, and AIX.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues within multiple technologies.
Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work closely with peers and business partners.
Capability to manage multiple priorities across a number of assignments and prioritize effectively.
Nice-to-have:
Certifications in information security (eg. CISSP, CCSP, CEH, ITIL)
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.
